Weather
Note that unless specifically allowed in the notice of race or sailing instructions, weather data or services such as routing that are not free of charge or not freely available to all boats are not allowed in many events. See rule 41(c) of the RRS, the interpretation of which varies by region - for example subscription data is generally not allowed in the US, but is allowed in Australia.
In practice, this isn't overly restrictive as:
GFS data is freely available through Saildocs, NOAA or UGrib,
Ocean current and other subscription data can be downloaded before a race,
For free higher resolution data whilst racing in the Caribbean, US or Hawaiian waters, NAM model data is available from Expedition, SailFlow or SWS.
